Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!

Yes we had a GREAT holiday season so far. I'll see how much detail I can add to this post as some time goes by. The kids were thrilled Christmas morning as you could expect.

We opened gift packages mailed from relatives on Christmas Eve, including the train table, and they loved them all. We had our special dinner, grilled steaks, that night instead of Christmas day.

The Duncans joined us Christmas afternoon and we had dinner together. We decided to keep it simple and brought in Chinese.

Jonathan & friend were here for a 5 day visit, leaving New's Day. We toured a few places with them that we hadn't been to yet, being relatively new to the Richmond area.

The Victorian Holidays at Maymont was a fantastic tour of the house. Highly recommended by me! We also walked the Italian and Japanese gardens. We then drove over to the Nature Center and Gift Shop to pick up a few momentos.

Another day we went to the Museum of the Confederacy and then toured the White House of the confederacy. They are avid Civil War buffs so I thought it was apropos. They did seem to enjoy it. We then ate at Champps and walked Stony Point Fashion Park Shopping Mall. They are mall fans as well:-)

They stopped at Short Pump Town Center Mall on their way out Tuesday. They were there last time down and had to eat at California Pizza Kitchen one more time. I guess I should try it!
