Late Summer Flowers ready for their close ups

These are a few photos taken Sunday in the yard. The macro setting on the new camera in a wonderful thing.

I love the color combination of pink and yellow in this lantana.

and the pink double impatiens that resemble mini roses.

This peach colored portulaca moss rose with a hint of pink

the purple passion flower native to the area (WAY too invasive)

Your flowers are just gorgeous. I truly wish I had a green thumb. I love flowers, but I am just no good with them.

It's funny ... the lantana you have pictured is actually a weed in Florida.

Thank-you Missy. It is a learned hobby that I've grown to love.

I did not know that about Lantana! Ah, but what a pretty weed it is! I am going to read more about that.

Thank-you.
I must give credit to my husband for taking these particular photographs. I have been unhappy with my own photos lately & wanted to make sure it wasn't the camera but the camera user ;-)

Wow, very nice set of photos and some really lovely flowers. When summer comes my partner goes mad at me because it’s that time of the year where flowers have to be brought in the house to liven things up after the wintery months. Luckily he isn’t allergic to them that would be a nightmare! But he isn’t overly keen on them. Plus I get them online from Flowers Direct and as he works nights and I work days he has to be there to take them off the delivery person and does get a few funny looks! I think it’s nice though to have the odd vase or bouquet of flowers in bedrooms and living rooms, along with the wonderful smell they give off.
